Make A Difference!

The Katie Wyatt Memorial Foundation, a 501(c) 3 organization, was formed in memory and support of Katie Wyatt, a beautiful 15 year old that lost her battle with kidney cancer on June 14, 2011. One of Katie's wishes was that we continue to help other children, who like her were given the cross of cancer to bear.

The board members and volunteers are normal people - single, married, teens, moms and dads that were touched by this amazing child and her family. We have all learned lessons from Katie that will stay with us for a lifetime. she tought us that we should go out and make other children that have cancer "superheros". Katie felt like a superhero when she was granted her "wish". She felt like a Superhero when she was the guest of Honor at the 1st Katies Game! She is our Superhero for always.

We invite you to join us, in Katie's memory, as a sponsor/supporter in the events we will hold all being called "Katies Game". Honor Katie's wishes to help these other children by directly participating in these wonderful events. Your sponsorship will allow us to not only help the Rainbow Connection grant a Michigan Child cancer patient with their "Wish", but also a local family that is in need of all of our support. Additionally, the Katie Wyatt Memorial Foundation will be offering various scholarship opportunities for our local student's. Band was very important to Katie and she was looking towards the fun and excitment she was going to have at band camp last summer, unfortunately Katie was never able to make it to camp. We will be sending students every year to camp that otherwise may not be able to attend. Each child is an average of 350.00.

None of this will be possible without your compassion and your support. Fenton, Michigan has a population of 12,000. Think of what we could do if everyone just gave $1.00. The Fenton area community has been nothing short of amazing in supporting Katie during her fight, and we anticipate the outpouring of love will continue with these events.

The KWMF is planning on helping as many families as we can by simply being there for them in what ever capacity they may need. We plan to let these families know they are not alone in this fight and that their community is standing behind them to lift them up when they need a hand. Whatever it may be we will always do our best to fulfill their need and help carry the cross they must bear.

If you are a family in need and dealing with cancer please feel free to contact us.

Please visit Katies-Game Facebook Community Page for more event information. We thank you in advance for your support of this cause that is so dear to all our hearts!

Together, Let's Make A Difference!
