Doctors diagnosed Katie with renal cell carcinoma when she was 11, a form of
kidney cancer. She never did stop fighting. That spirit to fight, that spirit to battle,
that spirit to be kind, the spirit to live every day to the fullest, the spirit to forget
about major problems and enjoy the simple things in life kept her, her family,
friends and her community fighting with her.
While its true Katie is no longer physically with us, her spirit will most definitely
live on in the hearts of her family, friends and the countless others she has touched.
